Kiersten Strombotne is an Assistant Professor of Health Law, Policy & Management at the Boston University School of Public Health, where she is the Director of the Health Policy & Law program for MPH students. She is also an Investigator at the Partnered Evidence-Based Policy Resource Center (PEPReC) with the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

Her research focuses on the complex interplay between social, economic, and policy determinants of health, specifically examining areas such as obesity, chronic disease, and mental health. This work reflects a broader interest in understanding how social and behavioral influences can be leveraged to design more effective policy to improve health and alleviate disparities.

Prior to joining BU, Professor Strombotne spent several years as an economic research consultant for AIR and RTI International. She holds a PhD in Health Policy & Management from Yale University and a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
